# Choose or change your plan

> The organisation owner chooses a plan and pays securely through Stripe. Switching plan or billing interval later is prorated automatically.

Only the owner of the organisation can choose or change the plan. Admins can see the plans but the buttons are disabled for them.

## Choose a plan

1. Go to [**Settings → Plan & billing**](https://app.quoterium.com/settings/billing).
2. Under **Plans**, pick **Monthly** or **Yearly**.
3. Choose **Choose** on the plan you want, then **Continue to payment**.
4. You are taken to Stripe's secure checkout page. Enter your card details there (and a promotion code, if you have one) and confirm.
5. Stripe brings you back to Quoterium, which confirms that your subscription is active.

Your card details go straight to Stripe and are never stored by Quoterium. The subscription renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. If you leave the checkout page without paying, nothing changes.

## Switch to another plan

1. Go to [**Settings → Plan & billing**](https://app.quoterium.com/settings/billing).
2. Choose **Switch** on the new plan and confirm.

The change applies straight away, and the difference is prorated: Stripe credits the unused part of your old plan and charges for the new one on your next invoice. You don't go through checkout again.

## Switch between monthly and yearly

Select **Monthly** or **Yearly** above the plans, then choose **Switch** on your current plan. This is also prorated.

## Moving to a smaller plan

Before moving to a plan with fewer users, check that your team fits within its limit; you can remove people under [**Settings → Team**](https://app.quoterium.com/settings/team). See [Remove a team member](https://quoterium.com/help/team-and-settings/remove-team-members).

## Good to know

- Organisations with complimentary access don't need a plan, so the plan buttons are disabled for them.
- The **Current plan** tile at the top of the page shows your plan's name with **Billed monthly** or **Billed yearly** under it, and that plan's button in the list reads **Current plan**.
