# Preview your quote as the customer sees it

> Three ways to check a quote before and after sending: the Preview tab, the preview in the send dialog, and Customer view.

## The Preview tab

Every quote has a **Preview** tab next to **Quote** and **Settings**. It shows the whole quote as the customer will see it, including your current, unsaved edits. You can try optional items and multiple-choice groups to check the totals; choices made here are not saved, and Accept and Decline do nothing.

## In the send dialog

**Preview & send** shows the email on the left and a **Customer preview** of the whole quote on the right, so you can check both together before sending.

## Customer view

The **Customer view** button at the top of the quote opens the real customer page in a new tab. A **Customer view** notice at the top reminds you that this is what your customer sees, with **Back to editor**.

- It works for drafts and quotes being edited too, which customers cannot open yet.
- Your visits are not counted as customer views.
- On a quote that has been sent, this is the live page: **Accept quote**, **Decline** and sending a message under **Questions & answers** work just as they do for the customer. Use them only if you mean to.

## The PDF

To check the printed version, choose **Download PDF** in the quote's **Actions** menu. See [Download a PDF](https://quoterium.com/help/customer-view-and-e-signature/download-a-pdf).
