# Accept, decline or withdraw on the customer's behalf

> Record an acceptance or a decline the customer gave you by phone or email, undo an acceptance, or withdraw a quote.

Customers normally accept or decline on their quote page. When they tell you some other way, you can record it yourself. These options are in the **Actions** menu of a sent quote.

## Accept on the customer's behalf

1. Choose **Accept on behalf of customer**.
2. Enter who accepted under **Accepted by**, and optionally an **Order / reference number** and **Additional comments**.
3. Click **Mark as accepted**.

The quote becomes **Accepted** with the items and options as they currently stand. No signature is collected and the customer is not emailed. On the PDF's signature certificate the acceptance is marked as recorded by your organisation.

## Undo an acceptance

If a quote was accepted by mistake, choose **Undo acceptance** and confirm. The quote goes back to **Sent** and the customer can accept it again. The acceptance details, signature, certificate and any countersignature are removed.

## Mark as declined

1. Choose **Mark as declined**.
2. Optionally enter the **Reason** the customer gave.
3. Click **Mark as declined**.

The customer can still view the quote, unless your admin has blocked viewing of declined quotes, but can no longer accept it unless you reopen it.

## Withdraw a quote

Withdraw a quote when the offer no longer stands. Choose **Withdraw** and confirm. The customer's link then shows only that the quote has been withdrawn: they cannot view or accept it. To offer it again, choose **Edit (reopen, take offline)**.
