# Archive, delete and duplicate quotes

> Copy a quote to start a new one or a template, archive quotes to tidy your lists, and delete or restore drafts.

## Copy to a new quote

Choose **Copy to new quote** in the **Actions** menu. You get a new draft with its own number and a fresh validity period, and you are its owner. It keeps the customer and recipients, items, text, terms, payment schedule, attachments, currency and exchange rate. Change anything you need, including the customer, before sending.

## Copy to a template

Choose **Copy to template**, type a name for the template and confirm. The new template opens in the library, ready to use for future quotes. Private notes are not copied. See [Templates](https://quoterium.com/help/library-and-templates/templates).

## Archive

Archiving hides a quote from the Quotes page and the dashboard, including its figures, without changing it. It works for any status.

- Choose **Archive** in the **Actions** menu, or select several quotes with **Bulk edit** and choose **Archive**.
- The customer's link keeps working.
- To find archived quotes, tick **Archived** under **Show** on the Quotes page.
- Choose **Unarchive** to bring a quote back.

## Delete a draft

Only drafts can be deleted. Choose **Delete draft** in the **Actions** menu and confirm, or use **Delete drafts** in bulk. Once a quote has been sent it cannot be deleted: withdraw or archive it instead.

## Restore a deleted draft

1. On the [Quotes](https://app.quoterium.com/quotes) page, tick **Deleted** under **Show**.
2. Click **Bulk edit** and tick the drafts to bring back.
3. Choose **Restore** under **With selected**.
