# Forgotten password

> Reset your password from the sign-in page with a link we email you. The link works once and expires after an hour.

## Reset your password

1. On the sign-in page, choose **Forgot?** next to the password field.
2. Enter the **Email** you sign in with and choose **Send reset link**.
3. Open the "Reset your password" email and choose **Reset password**.
4. Enter a **New password** (at least 8 characters), repeat it in **Confirm password** and choose **Set new password**.

You're taken back to the sign-in page, where you can sign in with your new password.

## The email didn't arrive

- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Make sure you used the address you sign in with. For privacy, the page looks the same whether or not an account exists for the address you typed.
- Request another link. Only the newest link works.

## "This reset link is invalid or has expired"

Reset links last one hour and can be used only once. Request a new one from the sign-in page.

## You were invited but never set a password

If a colleague invited you and you haven't accepted yet, you don't have a password. Use the **Accept invitation** button in the invitation email, or ask an admin to send the link again. See [Invite your team](https://quoterium.com/help/team-and-settings/invite-your-team).

## You no longer have access to that email address

[Contact support](https://quoterium.com/support). We'll need to confirm who you are before changing the address on your account.
