Quoterium

Accessibility

Quoterium is designed to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, for your team and for your customers. Here is what that means in practice and how to report a problem.

We want everyone to be able to write, send, read and accept quotes, whatever the device or assistive technology they use. Quoterium, including the page your customers see, is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What that means in practice

  • Keyboard: everything can be done without a mouse. A Skip to main content link appears on the first Tab press, menus work with the arrow keys, and focus moves sensibly when dialogs open and close.
  • Screen readers: every control has a label, icon buttons have names, and changes such as saving, sending or search results are announced.
  • Alternatives to dragging and drawing: items can be reordered with Move up and Move down, and signatures can be typed instead of drawn.
  • Colour and contrast: text meets AA contrast. Your brand colour is used as the accent, and where it would be too light to read, it is adjusted automatically so buttons and links stay legible.
  • Zoom and small screens: pages reflow on phones and when zoomed in.

Your content matters too

Customers' experience also depends on what you write. A few habits help:

  • Use the editor's headings and lists rather than bold text or manual numbering.
  • Write link text that makes sense on its own, such as "case study" rather than "click here".
  • Avoid putting important information only in images.

Report a problem

If something in Quoterium is hard to use with your setup, please contact support and tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you use. We treat accessibility problems as bugs.
