The Accept button is missing
A quote can only be accepted while it is live and still valid. Customers can't accept it when:
- it has expired: extend Valid until and send it again (see Your customer can't open the quote);
- it has already been accepted or declined;
- it is offline for editing.
Accept is greyed out in the dialog
The Accept button stays greyed out until everything needed is filled in; a screen reader announces what is missing with the button ("To accept, …"). Depending on your settings under Settings → Branding & layout, the customer may need to:
- tick I have read and agree to the above;
- enter Your name;
- sign, if the e-signature is Required. Anyone who can't draw a signature can choose Type and type their name;
- verify their email address first (below).
Verification code problems
If you require the signer's email to be verified, step 1 of the dialog is Verify your email. The customer chooses Email me a code and enters the 6-digit code.
- No code arrived: check spam. The code goes to the address the quote was sent to. On a shared link, the customer must enter that same address. A new code can be requested after about a minute with Resend.
- "The code has expired": codes last 15 minutes. Request a new one.
- "Too many attempts": after 5 wrong tries the code stops working. Request a new one.
If the right person can't receive email at that address, add them as a recipient with their own address and send the quote to them. See Send a quote.
Accepting on the customer's behalf
If the customer has agreed by phone or email, you can record the acceptance yourself from the quote's actions menu. See Accepting a quote and e-signatures.
