Connecting Xero lets Quoterium create invoices in your Xero organisation and look up your Xero contacts. Each Quoterium organisation connects its own Xero account; nothing is shared with anyone else. You need to be an owner or admin.
Connect
- Go to Settings → Integrations.
- Under Xero, click Connect to Xero.
- Sign in to Xero if asked, choose the Xero organisation to connect and allow access.
- You are brought back to Quoterium with the message "Xero connected." The page shows Connected with the Xero organisation's name.
If Connect to Xero is unavailable, Xero has not been enabled for your installation; contact support.
After connecting
- If you allowed access to more than one Xero organisation, choose the right one under Xero organisation.
- Review the invoice settings and tax mapping and click Save changes. See Xero invoice settings and tax mapping.
- Link your main clients to their Xero contacts. See Link clients and contacts to Xero.
What Quoterium can do in Xero
- Search your Xero contacts and create new ones from your clients.
- Read your accounts, tax rates and branding themes for the settings.
- Create invoices from accepted quotes, refresh their status, and delete drafts you no longer need.
Xero contacts in the quote editor
While Xero is connected, the contact search under Prepared for and Also send to also lists Xero contacts that are not yet in Quoterium, marked "In Xero". Picking one imports it: Quoterium creates the contact and, when the Xero contact is a company, the client too, and links both to Xero. Any team member can do this.
Reconnect or disconnect
- Reconnect repeats the sign-in, for example if the connection has expired or an error is shown.
- If you reconnect to a different Xero organisation, existing links between your clients and Xero contacts are cleared, because they belong to the old organisation.
- Disconnect removes the connection. Links to invoices already raised are kept on the quotes, but no new invoices or Xero contacts can be created until you connect again.
